A local municipality may have a separate agreement with the waste collector allowing dead slugs to be placed in the biowaste container. In such cases, however, it must be ensured that no live invasive slugs end up in the biowaste container, as they could escape back into the wild.

This is slightly more than the 2005-2024 average, which is over 27 000 cloud-to-ground strikes. Compared to the previous year, there was about 7% less thunderstorm activity in 2025.
