In 2025, the NORDLIS lightning detector network registered a total of 29 472 cloud-to-ground lightning strikes in Estonia. This is slightly more than the 2005-2024 average, which is over 27 000 cloud-to-ground strikes. Compared to the previous year, there was about 7% less thunderstorm activity in 2025.

The month as a whole is expected to be close to normal both in terms of air temperature (normal –2.7 to +1.6°C) and precipitation (norm 38–70 mm).

Nature's benefit map layers are now publicly available in the map application. The application includes more than 60 data layers covering, among other things, ecological condition, habitat services, provisioning services, cultural ecosystem services, and regulating ecosystem services.

Overall, July is expected to have near-average air temperatures (average 17.2–18.4°C), with the first half of the month being slightly cooler than average and the second half slightly warmer. Precipitation is expected to remain within the normal range (49–82 mm), with rainfall occurring more frequently during the first third of the month, while the final third is likely to bring more dry days.
