Kuid siingi on kahtlejaid, T\u00f5\u00f5rikm\u00e4e ja Simuna kraatrite puhul on k\u00fcll meteoriitse p\u00e4ritolu tunnused olemas, kuid meteoriidiainest ei ole leitud. The Earth\u0027s atmosphere destroys smaller invaders and as many as 7 out of 10 meteorites fall into the sea and may be never found. The reasons can be found in both Estonia\u0027s geological history and the level of research done. Several meteorite falls have been recorded and described in Estonia, and 6 meteorite craters have been discovered. The oldest of them, Neugrund, dates back over 500 million years. The youngest, Simuna, dates back to 1937. But there are skeptics - in the case of the T\u00f5\u00f5rikm\u00e4e and Simuna craters, there are signs of meteorite origin, but no meteorite material has been found.
